Waving the Right Flags

Last week we declared
spring cleaning on V-Manager flags! It's easy to let your donor flags
become clogged with old, unknown, or temporary flags. This week, let's
look at how an organization might use the Update Flags feature to refine
their annual dinner flag.
Our fictional organization
has created a flag called "Dinner" to that serves as the invitation
list. Here's how they'll ensure that their invitations are targeted
to those most likely to support them:
First, the dinner
committee will review a names report of dinner invitees, checking for
erroneous names, blank addresses, or other obviously incorrect data.
The committee has decided to update the invitation list by including
all donors who have made contributions of $15 or more during the past
year, who have made pledges, or who are flagged for any of the organization's
special interest groups. However, they wish to drop anyone who has made
no contributions in the last three years.
