Join the Club - Use V-Manager's Membership Module

"Isn't the Membership Module really just for synagogues?" is a question we hear frequently, and the answer is an emphatic "No!" V-Manager's Membership Module has unique features that make it useful for a variety of tasks:

• Use the membership module when you want to target a specific member of the family. For example, make a membership category called "Youth Activities" and add a membership for the family's child. You can now print labels and export letters addressed to the child!
• Use the membership module when you wish to place an "expiration date" on the donor's activity. For example, make a membership category of "Faculty" and add a membership for each faculty member with an expiration date at the end of the year. No more embarrassing mailings sent to former faculty!
• Create a bill directly from the Membership Module to correspond with a women's division, youth club, or day camp.

Broadcast E-Mail Update

Several users have reported a problem when sending an email to a long list of people. The email sending process suddenly stops after the first 10-50 people. Our vendor who provides the email sub-system informed us this is because there is a bad email address domain in the list - such as jake@myplace.com, and there really is no such Internet location as "myplace.com." This causes the communication with the SMTP server to hang. We are attempting to implement a workaround for this problem, and we will keep you posted. In the meantime the only known fix is to correct the actual email address on the donor's record.
