Frequently Asked Questions about V-Manager

Can't I do this with Access? No. Most users could learn easily to keep a basic mailing list in Access, and advanced users could probably learn how to keep lists of payments. V-Manager offers an extensive breadth of information about events, raffles, memberships, dates, etc, that would be difficult if not impossible for an end-user to create. Also, sophisticated reporting would require a professional programmer - for example, whose contributions last fall went up the most over this fall?

Can you convert the data I have now? Yes, in almost all cases. We can give an estimate for legacy data conversion based on your particular data or program in use.

How does V-Manager interface with Word? V-Manager is fully compatible with Word, and provides the data files for Word to do mail merges.

How does V-Manager interface with Quickbooks? Intuit, the makers of Quickbooks, do not allow third parties to directly interface with their software. (This is an unusual attitude amongst software companies.) However we have many users running Quickbooks. QB provides the check writing and bank balances, while VM provides the detailed receivable and payment information.

How can you provide support from Chicago? V-Manager users can receive support via telephone, fax or email. In addition, our support staff can use PC Anywhere software to actually connect to the user's computer and watch what is on the screen! This connection allows support staff to actually watch what the user is doing and assist in real-time.

How is your program better than other fundraising programs? Better reporting, more extensive information managed, better support, easier to use.

Do you have a demo disk? No. Years of experience tell us that demo disks do not provide much benefit for users of a program as extensive as V-Manager. However, we will be more than happy to present a live demonstration, with the user able to ask questions and view actual use of the program.

Will I need to reenter all my data? See above about converting data.
